The Student Council Symposium of 2013 was a great success! We are pleased
to report we had over 97 submissions, from which 10 oral presentations and
around 50 posters were selected. In the end we had 79 attendees from over
25 countries.
We wish to take the opportunity to thank everyone that contributed to this
success: our three awesome keynote speakers; Dr Alex Bateman, Prof. Satoru
Miyano and Dr. Gonçalo Abecasis; our valiant reviewers committee (all 24 of
you!); the entire organising committee of ISMB/ECCB 2013 and SCS 2013; the ISCB
and ISCB-SC; our dedicated sponsors; and of course you, our attendees!

We plan to publish the proceedings from this symposium in BMC
Bioinformatics soon. So stay tuned!
