RSG Taiwan

Mission Statement

The Regional Student Group - Taiwan (RSG-TW) provides a community platform for various social interactions and scientific discussions of Taiwan young bioinformatics students and researchers. RSG-TW was established in 2011 by PhD students from a variety of universities. With communication and networking of RSG-TW, members can not only receive the newest information and join research discussion but also benefit from RSG-TW activities for future research development.

Domestic activities:

1. Organize annual research meeting and skills workshops
2. Promote networking with creative Socialising events
3. Provide a community platform to share information from ISCB and Computational Biology/Bioinformatics fields, including conferences, scholarships, education and jobs
4. Facilitate Lab exchange and collaboration opportunities
5. Collaborate with other research societies

International activities:

1. Create connections with overseas Taiwan student and young researchers
2. Organize international research conferences (Cf. The Asian Young Researchers Conference on Computational and Omics Biology, AYRCOB)
3. Connect with other young research groups
4. Join ISCB and Student Council activities
