Mission

Who are we?

We are the Regional Student Group (RSG) in the Netherlands, a group of PhD students and young scientists in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology who aim to initiate and stimulate scientific discussion as well as collaboration between PhD students. We strongly believe that there is a lot to learn from each other and there is nothing more inspiring than working on new ideas together.

To achieve this, we closely collaborate with the Netherlands Bioinformatics Center (NBIC) and the International Society of Computational Biology Student Council (ISCB) from which the RSGs are managed. Being embedded in these organizations allows us to play a stepping-stone role to the national and international networks in bioinformatics and computational biology. The RSG Netherlands is actively participating in this network giving PhD students the opportunity to build a strong contact network in the bioinformatics world.
