The Education and Internship Committee's core task is to promote educational initiatives among Student Council and Regional Student Group members by setting up a global student network which that brings together students to discuss and learn.

We aim to provide a forum where computational biology and bioinformatics students worldwide will be able to freely voice their opinions on education issues. We plan to address relevant issues by presenting them to educators and education policy makers either directly or through committees of the ISCB.

Beyond this the Education and Internship Committee is compiling collections of educational and career resources for students at different stages of their career. Further responsibilities of the committee include the operation of the Student Council internship program and organization of career-related events at conferences such as ISMB and ECCB.
